When is the 2026 New York City Marathon?
The 2026 TCS New York City Marathon takes place on Sunday, November 1. Before your trip, check the official NYRR marathon website for the latest runner instructions and event information.
If you’re traveling with a runner, work through your plans together. Arrival time, hotel location and the return flight all deserve a place on the itinerary.
A win for your marathon crew
Marathon trips often involve more than the person wearing the bib. Partners, parents, friends and teammates may be coming along, too.
GO Airlink offers private airport van service for 6, 8, 10 or 13 passengers at JFK, LaGuardia and Newark. Your group can ride together in a vehicle reserved for your party.
We’re a Port Authority-approved transportation provider, with curbside pickup at every terminal. Meet your ride outside your arrival terminal and get your marathon visit underway with your group together.
When arranging transportation, include everyone traveling with you and the luggage you’re bringing. Confirm the vehicle accommodates both before booking, especially if your group has larger suitcases or extra gear.
Plan your departure ride at the same time so you have both airport transfers on your itinerary.
Plan around race-day street closures
Airport transportation and getting to the marathon start are separate parts of your travel plan.
NYRR advises that streets along the marathon course will close on November 1. If you have a flight or another time-sensitive trip that day, allow extra time and discuss your pickup location and route with your transportation provider.
Runners should follow NYRR’s official instructions for reaching the start. For anyone cheering along the course, choose your viewing location and meeting plan in advance.
